
Emily Baker
Advisory Board Member
With decades of experience in communications, public and government relations and crisis management, Baker leads Portman Square Group Communications, a leading Boise-based strategic communications and public relations firm. Prior to founding PSG, Baker was Managing Partner and a Shareholder at Gallatin Public Affairs. Baker also spent 15 years between DC and New York. She served in the Bush Administration as the Regional Administrator of the General Services Administration (GSA) Northeast and Caribbean region and prior to that as Deputy Director of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs with the U.S. Department of Commerce, focusing extensively on intellectual property and international trade. Emily began her career with Governor Haley Barbour at BGR Group and in Idaho as a policy aide to Governor Phil Batt.
Baker is Presidential Leadership Scholar and a distinguished practitioner and adjunct professor at Boise State University. She also serves on the Executive Board for the Boise State University Foundation, the Executive Board of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Tsamoutales Strategies Advisory Board, the Advisory Board for Idaho Women in Leadership and the Idaho Strategic Energy Alliance Board.
